Cellcom Infinity – Terms & Conditions

Cellcom Infinity:

The holder of this plan will see the manufacturer’s warranty, respecting all the same terms and conditions, extended by the equivalent of the duration of the plan for which he subscribed. The service plan with commence the day following the end of the original manufacturer’s warranty expiry date. On that day and for the period of the term agreed upon, Cellcom Communications will be responsible for all warranty claims.

This plan does not replace, in any case, the manufacturer’s responsibilities towards his customer, and is summarized as an agreement between its holder and Cellcom Communications for the term of the extended period. At the time of the request for indemnity, the holder of this plan must present a proof of purchase at the original point of sale of the defective product.

Terms and conditions applicable to all INFINITY Service Plans

If, following submission of a claim, Cellcom Communications determines that your device has a manufacturing defect or suffered a physical or
liquid damage which the device should have been able to withstand given the product claims made by the device manufacturer, and that which is covered under INFINITY Service Plans*, and that such defect or damage impairs the device’s proper use, Cellcom Communications will repair the device at its expense. If the device cannot be repaired, the device will be replaced by the same model, or by a similar model with the same characteristics as the original selected by Cellcom Communications, at its sole discretion.

*To clarify, physical or liquid damages covered under the INFINITY Service Plans are the following:

(a) Broken screen or phone shell cracked following a drop onto tile, carpet, or wood, up to a maximum height of 1 meter.
(b) Broken camera following a drop onto tile, carpet, or wood, up to a maximum height of 1 meter.
(c) Devices with buttons pressed following a drop onto tile, carpet, or wood, up to a maximum height of 1 meter.
(d) Devices that have been splashed or that have been submerged in water up to a maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes
(e) Devices that fell in the snow for a maximum of 30 minutes

INFINITY Service Plans and related options are NOT insurance. Each of the INFINITY Service Plans is a limited warranty, which is extended only to the original end-user purchaser of the device, and which is not transferable or assignable to any subsequent purchaser. Each of the INFINITY Service Plans is offered for a limited term, as indicated in the table above. There is no limit on the number of claims that can be made under your INFINITY Service Plan or the number of times that a device can be repaired during the Term of the Plan. However, there is a limit to the number of times your device may be replaced following a legitimate claim made under your INFINITY Service Plan during its Term. This number is referenced in the table above. As indicated in the table above, you can only obtain the replacement of your device once, twice or three times following a legitimate claim, in accordance with the INFINITY Service Plan selected by you.

Only the device bearing the serial number identified on the proof of purchase of your Infinity Service Plan will be covered under the Plan.
Any modification or repair of your device by an agent other than Cellcom Communications and other than the original manufacturer of the device will void the protection offered by the manufacturer’s warranty as well as the protection offer by your INFINITY Service Plan
Your INFINITY Service Plan has no cash value, cannot be reimbursed and cannot be transferred, unless specifically provided for in these terms and conditions.

The INFINITY Service Plans do not cover:

(a) Any damage due to abuse, neglect, misuse (such as device that fell under a mower or through/under heavy machinery) or intentional fault;
(b) Any damage due to failure to follow the product instructions;
(c) Any damage due to repairs or alterations attempted or made by persons other than Cellcom Communications or the original manufacturer of the device;
(d) Any damage due to direct exposure to corrosive materials;
(e) Any damage due to power surge;
(f) Any damage due to external causes, such as natural events, lightning, flood, fire, and other actions or events beyond our reasonable control;
(g) Any damage to a device whose serial number is no longer legible;
(h) Loss or theft of the device;
(i) Normal wear and tear;
(j) Any damage to accessories, equipment or components external to the device;
(k) Any other damage that does not meet the criteria set out above as “physical or liquid damages covered under the INFINITY Service Plans.”

The SWITCH INFINITY Option is included in this INFINITY Service Plan. As indicated above, the SWITCH ONE Option allows you to transfer your INFINITY Service Plan to the next eligible device purchased by you from Cellcom Communications, one time only, if you have made no successful claims under the Plan. However, under the INFINITY PLATINUM Service Plan, the SWITCH ONE Option will remain valid even if a claim is made during the Term of the Plan. In other words, the INIFINITY Service Plan may still be transferred to your new device even if a claim is made during the Term of the Plan. When transferred to the new device, the INFINITY PLATINUM Service Plan will cover 2 potential device replacements.

Terms and conditions applicable to the SWITCH ONE and SWITCH INFINITY Options

As mentioned in more detail above, the SWITCH ONE Option and the SWITCH INFINITY Option will allow you to transfer the amount of the INFINITY Service Plan originally purchased by you to a new eligible device purchased from Cellcom Communications.

Unless otherwise stated herein, only an INFINITY Service Plan without a claim can be transferred to a new device.

The transfer of your INFINITY Service Plan to a new device must be requested by you at the time of purchase of the device or within 30 days of such purchase, provided that the request occurs within 30 days of the expiration of the Term of the INFINITY Service Plan applicable to your original device. The transfer must be requested at the same Cellcom Communications store where you purchased your INFINITY Service Plan.

Proof of purchase of your original Infinity Service Plan plus its SWITCH ONE Option or SWITCH INFINITY Option must be provided at the time of transfer of your Infinity Service Plan to a new device.

Cellcom Communications is not responsible for the loss of the INFINITY Service Plan if its transfer is not requested within the time period indicated above.
The SWITCH ONE Option cannot be purchased to apply on an INFINITY Service Plan that has already been transferred.

The purchase and/or use of the SWITCH ONE and SWITCH INFINITY Options do not impact the Term of your INIFINITY Service Plan.
